The SEVENTH Lakeville Arts & Music Festival was held Saturday, October 1, 2011!

The celebration of the arts and culture in the southeastern region of Massachusetts is a FREE event. This event is made possible by individual and business donations. It is also supported in part by grants from local agencies Lakeville Arts Council, Berkley, Freetown and Middleborough Culutral Councils, part of the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

We hope we saw you at
this years' celebration of culture! If not, be sure to stop by to see us in 2012 on September 29!!!
The music this year was provided by Wicked Blue, Starry Night, the Shane Wood Trio, and Folk singer Tom Irving. Artisans and crafters sold their creations and crafts. Children’s activities were scheduled  inside the Library between 10am and 2PM. Also inside the library, the  children’s summer pottery was exhibited in the Great Ponds Gallery through October and debuted on Oct 1. There were community service and environmental organizations sharing information about their groups and so much more.
Throughout the day the Lakeville Arts Council hosted a Silent Auction featuring the wares of participating artisans, crafters, and gift certificates from local businesses such as Fireside Grille, Talbots, Somethin's Brewin' Book Cafe, and others.
Families and individuals also participated this year. It was a fantastic way to showcase the hidden artistic talents of the
community.
The street painting tradition at the Lakeville Arts & Music Festival  continued in our seventh year.  There were college students from Bridgewater State University as well as a professional artist, Lakeville's Dan Cooney participating in this Festival tradition.
